In 1983, Darren joined ICI Billingham as an Instrument Artificer, he worked here for 5 years, and has over 20 years experience in the Engineering industry. In the early 90s, Darren discovered his passion for the Internet, and went on to study a BSc in Media Technology at the University of Teesside from 1995 to 1998. Once graduated, Darren continued his studies at the University of Teesside in the form of a MSc in Multimedia Applications.
Darren created Tempest Media in 2002 as a means of showcasing his portfolio, but it was not until 2011, when he met Ash, that it became a business opportunity.
Darren has over 16 years experience in web development, multimedia and internet technology, and is credited for the creation of websites for local businesses, and landmarks such as the Tees Barrage.co.uk.
